{Food Crush} Dip it Good!

This week’s food crush is all about dips. So easy to whip up, so easy to eat, and always a big hit with low-budget college kids like me.

These two dips I throw together in literally seconds and love sharing with my sorority sisters at our weekly meetings.

And, not to brag or anything, but these dips are total man pleasers. Knock ’em dead, ladies!

1.) Buffalo Chicken Dip

If you can pick up a bottle of Frank’s Red Hot sauce (Yes, I put that sh*t on everything.) you can read this recipe. It’s so disgustingly easy and so delicious I want to cry.

One night I was too lazy to make a real meal so Justin and I ate a whole batch with a six pack of beer. (It’s true, I’m the luckiest woman in the world.) No regrets. Just delicious.

Here’s what you’ll need:

1/2 cup Buffalo Hot Sauce (Frank’s is totally the best)
1/2 cup Bleu Cheese or Ranch Dressing
1/2 cup crumbled Bleu Cheese
8oz Cream cheese
2 Cups shredded chicken (about a can and a half of canned chicken)

Place the cream cheese in the bottom of a oven-safe pan. Mix in the other ingredients. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

I like to serve mine with Scoops chips. And, if I’m being fancy, I like to scoop the dip into the chip already and garnish with a little half-moon of celery.

Total. Crowd. Pleasers.

2.) Cake Batter Dip

This dip is so delicious it should be a sin. And it costs next-to-nothing to put together and is actually a relatively low-fat snack.

Did I mention it tastes just like cake batter but, you know, without the risk of getting salmonella? Win Win.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Plain Yogurt
Cool Whip
Funfetti Cake Mix

This one requires a little trial and error, but I pretty much just dumped all the Funfetti in a deep bowl and added the yogurt and Cool Whip until it tasted just right.

Serve this one with animal crackers and watch how quickly it disappears.
