{Divine Design} 3 DIY Gender Reveal Ideas

Today is a big day for Justin and I!

Last month we went into our doctor’s office for our 20 week ultrasound to discover the sex of Baby Pippin. Unfortunately, Baby Pippin was a bit shy (or stubborn like its Momma) and sat perfectly on its little feet obscuring its nether-region.
26 Weeks Preggo and still growing!
So, this morning at 11 am we head in again to hopefully find out if Baby Pip is a Princess or a Pirate Captain, just in time for our baby shower next week!
In honor of our big day, I’m collecting and sharing some of my three favorite DIY Gender Reveal  ideas available on this wonderful internet we have!
Enjoy 🙂
1.) Host a Gender Reveal Party

These sweet invites are available on Etsy by Petite Party Studio. I love the pretty pink lips and dapper mustaches!

2.) Reveal the News in a Photograph
I spend entirely too much time on Pinterest, so I have stumbled upon some absolutely gorgeous Gender Reveal photographs that would be perfect to share with your family and friends!

Have a trusted third party fill a decorated box with Pink or Blue helium balloons and capture your response after opening the box like this gorgeous photograph by Radiant Photography

Having maternity shots done? Tie a pink or blue scarf around your bump for a subtle yet timeless reveal photo like this one from Hilton Pittman Photography

Opt for something a little fun with the whole family. Recreate this sweet pink and blue balloon photo by 7x7xMommy to share with loved ones near and far.

Or try a simpler approach: pose with pink or blue paint samples soon to adorn Baby’s nursery like the couple featured in this Pin

3.) Tell it with a Token

Send your family and friends this gender reveal card. Your loved ones blow up the balloons to reveal a “Yep!” or “Nope!” on each color! You can view the how to on this craft at The Mombot!

You can give your friends a sweet treat to share the news, like this Hershey’s bar wrapped to reveal “He” or “She” as featured on Garden Grandmaw

Gender Reveal cakes have been around for a while, but these unique question mark cupcakes featured on Half Baked are just too cute!

Finally, probably my favorite Gender Reveal token. If you read my blog often, you know I’m a HUGE lover of OPI Nail Lacquer. So, when I saw this adorable favor online I just about died.

Attach these sweet tags from MitzsCreations on Etsy to a pink or blue bottle of Nail Polish to share with all the women in your life. This beautiful pink color by OPI is appropriately called “It’s a Girl” 🙂

What did Justin and I decide to do do when we find out what Baby Pippin is? We’re skyping and calling almost everyone we know. Nothing works quite like that 🙂
