The one I’ve seen most often, is this one claiming that the combination of two simple ingredients will leave your tub sparkling clean at a fraction of the cost of Scrubbing Bubbles.
In the past, I bought the three pack of Scrubbing Bubbles at Sams which would last me roughly a year after my weekly bathroom cleanings. But, after my infamous first trimester, I was cleaning the bathroom three times a week and Scrubbing Bubbles was getting too pricey for me to continue buying.
I have to be honest and say that I passed this pin up three or four times before I finally decided to give it a try, and it couldn’t have come at a better time.
Justin and I recently moved to our new apartment where we live above and beside heavy smokers. No matter how often we mop or vacuum or keep socks on, we are always leaving dirty foot prints in our tubs when we take our morning showers (Disgusting, right?). Which means, I’m back to cleaning my bathroom as often as when I was vomiting in in four times a day. Here’s what our tub looked like this morning:
The recipe for this cleaner is so simple, equal parts blue Dawn dish soap and white vinegar (I used about half a cup each). Heat up the vinegar in the microwave for about two minutes, add the Dawn and stir to incorporate. Pour the mixture into an empty spray bottle.
Spray the tub and let it sit for an hour.
Come back to wipe it off and BE AMAZED.
Look at my tub. LOOK AT IT. It sparkles! And you know the best part about it? I spent less money than any other cleaner I have ever used.
