A few weeks ago near a theme park real close by, my wonderful Jedi-wannabe husband turned 27. I asked him with all seriousness what he wanted for his 3-years-till-30 birthday and he told me this:
“I want to have breakfast with Darth Vader.”
He was kidding of course. Too bad he didn’t know that this year, in celebration of Star Wars Weekends, Disney’s Hollywood Studios offered a slew of new character dining experiences that included, you guessed it, breakfast with Darth Vader.
Am I the best wife ever or what?
The breakfast was at SyFy Drive In Restaurant near the Star Tours attraction and easily my favorite restaurant at the Walt Disney World Resort. It was also all you can eat, offering delicious Star Wars themed meals and pastries.
As you dined, you could watch clips from your favorite Star Wars movies (hellooooo young Harrison Ford) while iconic characters like Stormtroopers, Jawas, and Greedo roamed between vehicles keeping the peace, trading and totally not shooting first respectively.
Before our meal, you got to take a photo with Darth Vader AND Boba Fett (Justin has a little bit of a school-girl crush on Boba Fett) that were complementary with your meal!
We had a lot of fun and can’t wait to do it next year!
