I’m so excited for next month–November is always a big reason to celebration for our family! Maisy is turning 2, Justin and I celebrate our wedding anniversary, and this Thanksgiving, our whole family is taking a big cruise vacation on board the Disney Fantasy.
Our family has taken Disney cruises in the past and the one thing we always have to have is matching shirts. I’ve been working hard on what they should look like, and I’m excited to share a sneak peak with you today!
I went with a nautical theme that was kind of classic. I made sure to use the Disney Cruise Line colors: navy blue, yellow, and red. The backs of the shirts have check marks for all the celebrations our family is celebrating over the course of the week.
Disney Cruises are known for having Guests that decorate their stateroom doors like crazy. I didn’t want our door to be left boring a bare, so in addition to the shirts, I’ve been designing what our door will look like.
I decided to go with a vintage Disneyland theme so be a little different from the generic name plates and Mickey ears typically seen on some stateroom doors. My secret goal is to have someone snatch one of my magnets off our door–talk about a compliment–some one likes your designs so much, they just have to have them!
I made a large “Pippinland” sign, and a few park favorites including Legacy FastPasses and Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars. Justin, Maisy and I also have Cast Member-inspired name tags.
I also put together two little magnets for our family’s two celebrations: Our Anniversary and Maisy’s Birthday. And finally, I made a vintage park map inspired view of our ship’s itinerary on the high seas.
I can’t wait to share more photos from our vacation when we set sail in about a month!
We are sailing the week before you on the Fantasy for the first time. So excited! We typically only do WDW so we are really looking forward to adding the cruise on! I am so curious about your shirts and magnets. You obviously have some graphic design background. 🙂 Could you point me in a direction to have something like this done for our cruise. Thanks so much!!!
Hi Chace! How exciting for you!
Get ready to get bitten by the Disney Cruise bug! When my husband left his first Disney cruise, he hasn’t stopped asking when we’re heading back 😉 if you’re looking to have something made for your family, start searching on Etsy, there are so many creative people with things for sale!
Graphic design is definitely a hobby of mine, and I’m still learning every day. I hope to one day offer designs to my readers 🙂 Thank you so much for your kind words about my little doodles!

What beautiful designs! We are going on our first family cruise this fall. I too love dabbling in graphic design and have created many shirts for my girls, as well as several family shirts for family trips. Would you mind sharing the png file for the design on the front of the shirt?
Thank you so much for your compliment! I am currently working on editable graphics for these designs to share. Stay tuned!
