It’s the most wonderful time of the year – Christmas has come to the Magic Kingdom.
Yesterday, our family attended Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and I can’t wait to tell you all about it!
Like our visit to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party in September, our Christmas party was sold out.
Our family enjoyed both castle shows, the typical Celebrate the Season musical show and the new Frozen castle lighting. Maisy was really really excited about seeing Anna and Elsa light up Cinderella’s Castle.
Because the party was sold out, it felt really crowded. This was our view for a good part of the Celebrate the Season show. Seriously, guys. If you’re going to a Disney Park, leave the iPad at home.
I love the Once Upon a Christmastime parade, especially when you can catch it from Main Street where it snows. Maisy loved naming all the characters and waving as they passed by.
Keeping with the popularity of Frozen, Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf are all in the parade!
I think Maisy was most excited about all the music and snow. She spent much of her time waiting for the parade by dancing around chasing the snowflakes. Luckily, we had a few extra hands around to help her out.
After the parade we caught the Holiday Wishes fireworks show. This show brings tears to my eyes every time. I remember working on Main Street back in college, and crying during the show every night. It’s the perfect thing to get you in the holiday mood!
We ended this party the same as the last, with a visit to see Mickey Mouse in Town Square Theatre. But this night, we were surprised by Mary Poppins, Burt and a penguin waiting outside the exit doors.
It was a really fun night we were so happy to share it with family.
