I am so incredibly excited that my sister, Jenny, is getting married this year and even more honored that she chose me to stand by her side on her big day as her Matron of Honor.
As MOH, I knew I had to throw my sister a good time. She deserved it!
So, I got her girlfriends together for a weekend-long escape in Southern Michigan. It was such a great weekend!

We stayed at the Marina Grand Resort in New Buffalo, Michigan. I reserved us a two bedroom suite and it was such a perfect retreat! The room was beautifully remodeled and came with a full kitchen and a private balcony.
Our group spent a lot of time on the rooftop lounge – check out that view!
The theme of the weekend was Jenny Ties the Naut so I grabbed some quick decorations that I could easily fly in with.
The girls all had matching tanks…
…And monogrammed tumblers to keep our drinks cool.
I made Jenny a special captain’s hat – complete with a veil, and found this adorable sash for her to wear!
To celebrate the unique relationships Jenny has with her friends, I snapped a few photos before our daily adventures.
I hope my sister had the best weekend ever!

Hi there – I am helping to plan a friend’s bachelorette party in New Buffalo this May. I’ve never been to New Buffalo, so I’m not familiar with everything there is to do there (and how best to get around). Would you be able to share with me an “agenda” per se of your sister’s bachelorette party? The pics are so cute!!! Thank you!
Hi there! I’d be happy to. You’re going to adore New Buffalo. It’s one of our favorite weekend destinations. The area is full of great little eateries, breweries and wineries. Add the beach to the mix and you’re in for a great time.
Our group was only there for three days. We arrived on a Friday, and left Sunday. In terms of getting around, there are definitely Ubers/Lyfts available, but most of us lived within a couple of hours of the hotel so we drove up and used our cars when we needed to.
Friday, our group arrived, got our nails done at a local salon and checked into the hotel. We picked the Marina Grande as it was really centrally located. That night we had dinner at Stray Dog (within walking distance of the Hotel). http://thestraydog.com/
Saturday, our group had booked a Grape & Grain Wine Tour. The bus picked us up right from the hotel, and drove us to 4 different wineries and back to the hotel at the end. This made it so much fun because we could really enjoy ourselves and not worry about driving back after drinking. The cost of the tour includes any tasters, you get a good amount of time to really relax and enjoy the wineries and your lunch is included. I HIGHLY recommend this. https://www.grapeandgraintours.com/wine-tours/
Sunday, our group just kind of woke up and left, nothing too fancy. But there are loads of other places to check out in the area. Redamak’s is a New Buffalo staple, and Warren Dunes State Park is a picture perfect beach for your weekend away.

This is great! Thank you so much!
