If you’ve been coming to Magic Kingdom Park you’re probably familiar with The Diamond Horseshoe. This iconic facade on the cusp of Frontierland and Liberty Square is known for being a seasonal table-service restaurant.
Not anymore! The Diamond Horseshoe is now open for lunch and dinner, no seasonality required, and it’s serving up delicious family-style barbecue meals you’re sure to enjoy.
The inside of The Diamond Horseshoe is themed to an old saloon. At the center of the restaurant is a stage where a beautiful self-playing piano provides music for your meal.
For drinks we tried the Prairie Slushy – a refreshing frozen watermelon lemonade that was perfect coming out of the hot sun.
Their all-you-care-to-enjoy pricing includes a family-sized Frontier Salad. This comes with their signature Chipotle Ranch Dressing which was to die for.
And a significant amount of cornbread.
The main course, dubbed the Saloon Feast, is a huge platter of pulled pork, carved turkey, smoked sausage, braised beef and delicious sides – beans, seasonal vegetables (we had corn) and tasty baked mac & cheese.
Because the platter is all-you-care-to-enjoy, if your family polishes off that platter, another can be out at your table in a jiffy.
While we ate, we took in the sounds of the player piano. It was quiet and relaxing in there. I feel like The Diamond Horseshoe is still very much a hidden gem at Magic Kingdom.
For dessert, the team rolled out their delicious campfire brownie, which was pretty much a giant s’more, served in a cast iron skillet.
It was an incredible meal that I highly recommend! To view the complete menu, click here.
