September is the month of birthdays in our family and for the last few years, we’ve all been thinking of new ways to celebrate together outside of our typical go-to: a hibachi dinner at Kobe.
This past September, we decided to celebrate Birthday Extravaganza at the Spirit of Aloha dinner show at Disney’s Polynesian Resort.
The last time I had been at the show was practically a million years ago. In reality, I was a tiny baby so this experience was certified 100% fresh for me and fam.
The Spirit of Aloha dinner show is in the open-air pavilion at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. It feels very tucked away from the resort, which is one of my favorites, and walking distance from Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto.
The one downside, is that if the weather is bad, the show will be canceled.
During the show, you can enjoy a meal of Polynesian cuisine: BBQ ribs, chicken, rice and seaweed salad.
Our kids loved the traditional dancers, including the fire twirlers.
We really enjoyed our evening at the Spirit of Aloha dinner show, but sitting outdoors in the middle of September in Florida was rough, even if the food and beer were flowing.
